Hi! I'm Lisy, a bilingual first grade teacher and the creator behind Ms. Lisy's Learning Corner. I love creating engaging, hands-on learning resources that make learning meaningful while helping teachers save valuable planning time. Every resource in my store is classroom-tested and designed with real students in mind. Whether you're looking for preschool centers, science units, literacy activities, or seasonal resources, my goal is to make teaching easier and learning more fun.
My Teaching Journey
When I was 12 years old, I taught myself English because I dreamed of one day speaking another language and connecting with people from around the world. That passion for learning has stayed with me ever since.
In my home country of Cuba, I began my career as a music teacher, where I discovered my love for helping children learn through creativity and hands-on experiences.
After moving to the United States in 2012, I decided to follow my dream of becoming an early childhood educator. I returned to school and earned my P–3 teaching certification, opening the door to a new chapter in my career.
Since then, I've spent four wonderful years teaching pre-k and four years teaching first grade. Today, I teach in a bilingual first grade classroom, where I continue creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences that inspire young learners every day.
My experiences in both pre-k and elementary classrooms have inspired me to create the resources you'll find here. Every activity is classroom-tested, teacher-friendly, and designed to make learning fun while saving teachers valuable planning time.

Why I Create Teaching Resources
Every resource I create begins in my own classroom. I believe children learn best when they are actively engaged, exploring, creating, and having fun. That's why I design hands-on activities that encourage curiosity, meaningful conversations, and joyful learning. My goal is to help teachers save planning time while giving students learning experiences they'll remember.
